We know it’s only February, but we’re thinking about the movies set to release this summer. One of those films we’re excited about is Through My Window: Across The Sea, the highly anticipated sequel to the film Through My Window. Based on the popular Hidalgo brothers book series by Wattpad author Ariana Godoy, the film produced by Netflix will reunite us with our favorite young couple, Raquel (Clara Galle) and Ares (Julio Peña).
The sequel will also see the return of the Hidalgo brothers Apolo (Hugo Arbues) and my favorite, other than Ares, Artemis (Eric Masip). Through My Window: Across The Sea “follows Raquel and Ares as they face challenges in the next chapter of their relationship and individual lives.” Seeing as I’ve read the English translation of A través de ti, which translates to Through You, I am very curious as to what Director Marçal Forés has done with this adaptation.

He made a few significant changes to A través de mi Ventana when he adapted it for the screen. Some changes I liked, while others had me asking why. Through You has Raquel and Ares in the book, but they are not the story’s focal point. It’s Artemis and Claudia’s story. This is why I am intrigued, especially after reading the film’s synopsis. I wonder how much of Artemis and Claudia’s accounts will be told. The thing about having a movie with many characters is that you can run out of time to give equal time to everyone.
While looking forward to getting some Rares back, I want to see Artemis and Claudia’s story unfold. Hopefully, that will happen when Through My Window: Across The Sea heads to Netflix in June. Until then, enjoy the mini teaser announcement that also introduced us to a few new characters we’ve yet to meet.
In addition to Galle, Peña, Arbues, and Masip, Through My Window: Across The Sea stars Natalia Azahara, Guillermo Lasheras, Emilia Lazo, Ivan Lapadula, Andrea Chaparro, and Carla Tous.
Through My Window: Across The Sea releases June 23rd on Netflix.
