Kevin has a very complicated relationship with his father. Therefore, Ernest ends up becoming a very important figure for him. Kevin fights for Ernest with everything he has. This emotionally complex conflict is perfectly displayed in We Have a Ghost.
Regarding this, we asked Jahi Winston to define the emotional conflict that his character goes through during the film. And you have to listen to his answer to get some really interesting goodies!
We Have a Ghost has comedy, drama, and emotions…it’s like a roller coaster! However, we sought out Jahi Winston’s opinion on what it is about the film that makes you so hooked… and we couldn’t agree more with his answer.
We Have a Ghost used a lot of special effects to make Ernest real to our eyes. However, that’s a challenge for the actors themselves and Jahi Winston was no exception. Although, as he tells us, he enjoyed filming these scenes.
At this point in the interview, the questions become a bit more difficult for Jahi Winston. It was a challenge for him to describe the film to us in one word — yes, we realize we made it difficult for him. But he chose well.
The following answers from him were a little easier. Jahi Winston is clear about what he would say to Kevin if he could talk to him. And Jahi, too, is crystal clear about what he would do if he found Ernest in his house. A clue? We would do the same!
We loved chatting with Jahi Winston! His work in We Have a Ghost is awesome and you can tell that both the story and his character fascinated him from the second one, just like it happened to us. He is an artist we will keep track of.
We Have a Ghost is coming to Netflix tomorrow, Friday, February 24.
