Chicago Fire 11×15 “Damage Control” presents two different pictures (ha, pun not intended) in the images released and the promo. The images are all about, apparently, making Dylan happen again (will this show ever figure out what to do with Sylvie Brett’s love life?). and Stella looking pensive, probably because there’s no Severide this episode. Thankfully there’s not much Carver, because …yeah, we’ve been pretty clear on where we stand on that one.
The promo, on the other hand, is the Vallo hour. And again, Violet and Gallo has been a thing the show has teased for a while, a thing it apparently still wanted to make happen even while Hawkins was around, the reason they killed him off. But if it’s going to happen like this, then …that just screams of emotional manipulation. Of Violet and us, the viewers. We didn’t like the pace either way, but we like the possibility of this being the thing that pushes them together even less.
Let Gallo be okay, and let Violet actually grieve before you try to fill the void the man she loved left with another romance. She deserves that. Hawkins deserves that, and hey — Gallo deserves that too!
