According to Deadline, the Cannes market will be the setting chosen for the arrival of Guy Ritchie’s new project. The project is an action movie without a decided title but it’s sure to have, like all Ritchie projects, a huge budget.
Despite not knowing much about the project, some well-known names in the industry are already signing on for it. Thus, the film will star Henry Cavill, who will soon cease to be the visible face of The Witcher, and Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal.
The truth is that we hardly have details of the plot of the film. At the moment, we know that the movie will revolve around two extraction specialists who must plan an escape path for a high-level female negotiator.
However, this could be the plot of any action movie worth it is salt. Except for one of the main characters being a woman. These kinds of movies tend to err on the side of too much testosterone, so we welcome the change. In addition, we can assume that the film will be impregnated with the type of humor so characteristic of Ritchie.
As for the production, the film will begin filming in my country, Spain, this summer. Ritchie will also serve as a writer and producer, a role he shares with Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg.
