Chicago P.D. 10×21 “New Life” turns the focus on Torres once again, and once again, it’s stereotypes, because what else is this show going to do with the latino kid but lean into those? Oh, yeah, have Voight, of all people, pretend he gets to stand on the moral high ground. It would be infuriating if it weren’t the same thing over and over again. At this point, it’s just same old, same old. Hypocrisy is this show’s tagline.
We’re lucky we get some decent episodes while we wade through that, thanks to a cast that is way more talented than the storylines on this show deserve. The actors keep us watching despite the things that happen to them, which often make us roll our eyes.
