The ending of Manifest took it all back to the beginning, in a way that you either find beautiful or terrible. There’s probably no middle ground for what the show did. You can either believe they brought it back full circle, or you can think the ending means the entire journey is worth nothing. Either way, the protagonists of the story are now breaking down what it means — or at least, what they wanted it to mean.
And though this isn’t the kind of fairy-tale ending Josh Dallas’s Prince Charming got in his Once Upon A Time days, for anyone who shipped the impossible ships — like Ben and his dead wife, or Michaela and her dead husband, well …there was that ending! For anyone hoping they would move on (and they did! temporarily…and then …yeah), there was that ending.
But let’s let them break it down while we hold onto our thoughts about endings. Because yeah, choices are being made lately. CHOICES.
The cast and creator of Manifest have gotten together to explain the deeper mysteries behind the series finale and how the emotions affected them both on and off the screen.
Manifest Seasons 1-4 can be streamed on Netflix.
