Nancy Drew‘s EP Larry Teng had some things to say about the CW. And honestly, good for him. It’s not normal that we get a look at what’s happening behind the scenes with shows we love, and the information Teng provided is truly infuriating.
It’s not about the network canceling Nancy Drew — though the show was the kind that grew, and it had a ship and friendship and…. all the things fans want! It’s about the way they did it. Which is exactly what Teng went on about in his thread, which you can read below:
You’re canceling the show and you cannot even give the people working on the show enough of a heads-up to wrap up the story? Don’t fans deserve at least that? Or does the CW not care about fans?
Wait, we kinda of answered our own question there. Not that it’s surprising, considering we’re living in the timeline where the AMPTP proves every day they don’t care about writers OR actors.
How we’re feeling right now:
Teng’s thread does go on to praise the writers, who managed to wrap up Nancy Drew‘s story, even without much warning. “You all deserved the most proper ending possible. That’s why I praise the writers for pulling it together at the end. … I’m glad y’all enjoyed the finale. You deserved that. Long live our #Drewds and the #DrewCrew.”
