This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. We stand with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA. Without them, the movies and television shows we cover would not exist.
There will never be a day that we don’t feel that Netflix made a mistake by cancelling Julie & The Phantoms. It was one of their best shows and it has one of their most passionate fanbases, that to this day continue to post about the fandom.
On September 10, 2020, the show that found its way into a million hearts premiered on Netflix.
“I’m not sure if I can post about jatp since the strike but I think of her always thanks for all the love even after 3 years 💜,” she wrote on a Twitter post, along with a photo of her in the final performance look.

The show was cancelled in 2021, and in 2022, Kenny Ortega let the fandom know that there were no plans to revive it.
We’ll forever remain sad about that, but will always be thankful for the memories.
