Still Up season finale left us speechless! The revelations came one after another and they broke our hearts little by little. We need a light at the end of the tunnel! So we sat down to talk with Arabella McGuigan and Phil Clarke, producers of the show, to discuss all the secrets of the episode. Ready?
Here we go!
This Post contains spoilers for Still Up 1×08 “The Wedding.”
We begin our interview with Arabella McGuigan and Phil Clarke with the elephant in the room: the revelation of Danny and Lisa’s first meeting in Apple TV+’s Still Up 1×08 “The Wedding” AKA the season finale.
They both explain to us where this idea came from in the first place, how they discussed its implications, and what they think it means for both characters. And we love hearing how this jaw-dropping idea began to take shape as a turning point in the story.

Talking more in-depth about the implications of Lisa not telling Danny the truth about Chloe in Still Up 1×08 “The Wedding,” Arabella McGuigan and Phil Clarke share the reason why Lisa decided not to tell Danny, with the – unpredictable – consequences that this had. But, to know the reason…run and watch the video!
Still Up 1×08 “The Wedding” develops between the past and the present and both end up connecting not only to reveal unexpected truths but also in the attitude of their characters. While Lisa doesn’t dare to take that step at the wedding, Danny doesn’t do it at the door of Lisa’s house either.
And that breaks our hearts…so we need hope that our ship will survive this! Arabella McGuigan and Phil Clarke mend our broken hearts – a little – with their analysis of this scene and what it means for the future of our favorite couple.

Speaking of the future, Arabella McGuigan and Phil Clarke discussed with us the plans for our ship and the rest of the characters in a possible season 2 of Apple TV+’s Still Up. And we already have our fingers crossed for them to come true!
We end our interview with Arabella McGuigan and Phil Clarke on a fun note and an easy – sort of, wink, wink – question. We made them choose between Team Danny or Team Vigui…and you will be surprised by their choice!
