Have to admit that La Brea is one of the best shows on television and we’re personally invested. Now, did it take a strike to make us watch the entire thing and become enthralled with it? Yes. Sorry, we made our mistakes with our viewing schedules.
We’re sad to hear that the show will be ending with its third season. The shows latest season will debut on NBC on Tuesday, January 9 at 9 p.m., but it will be a short season.
Only six episodes.
If you aren’t familiar with the show, it’s about, “a massive sinkhole opens in the middle of Los Angeles, pulling hundreds of people and buildings into its depths. Those who fell in find themselves in a mysterious and dangerous primeval land, where they have no choice but to band together to survive. Meanwhile, the rest of the world desperately seeks to understand what happened. In the search for answers, one family torn apart by this disaster will have to unlock the secrets of this inexplicable event to find a way back to each other.”
Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chiké Okonkwo, Zyra Gorecki, Jack Martin, Veronica St. Clair, Rohan Mirchandaney, Lily Santiago, Josh McKenzie, Tonantzin Carmelo and Michelle Vergara Moore star in the show.
Deadline reports that the season is being cut short in part because of the strikes, but also to allow the cast out of their contracts and being open to taking other jobs.
We’re sad to see La Brea go, but we do understand why it is. What do you think of it?
