When I was sitting at my desk doing interviews for La Brea, I had to take a moment to pinch myself. I had to pinch myself because I felt like I wished I could tell little me that everything was going to be okay and no one would stop you from making your dreams come true. The other part of me was excited that I was going to be able to ask a question I wanted to know.
Speaking to stars Nicholas Gonzalez and Zyra Gorecki, I had my chance to ask the question.
Why is Levi alive?
Yes, I would be that person. I would be the person to as why it was in La Brea, that after all of the things that Levi has done to Gavin and his family, he was still alive. Look, I love Nicholas Gonzalez and I am fully invested in Levi being alive. But the truth is that the one thing that I have always felt that is disingenuous about La Brea is that Gavin and Levi have found a way to coexist.
And well, they still seem to like each other.
“For one he’s hard to kill. I don’t know if on his best day Gavin could kill him.” Nicholas answered as I asked the question. I mean, that’s one of those things where I can’t disagree.
We talked about what they learned about themselves from the show and the years of filming. We talked about their characters and the end of the show.
And I asked in twenty years, what would they hope that people had to say about the show?
“Timeless, would be great.” Nicholas said in regards to what he hoped they would say. Zyra agreed.
She went on to say, “I hope that they love it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
We hope so too.
See the incredibly awkward interview below because of bad connections, so A LOT of time in between questions. But hey, this is real life.
