Chicago Fire is returning for Season 12 in just a few days, and with the way Season 11 ended, there’s a lot of anticipation about how Season 12 will shape up. Taylor Kinner is returning, but why was Severide gone for so long? What was his reunion with Stella like?
Similarly, we know Alberto Rosende is exiting the show, but how will we say goodbye to Blake Gallo? And what will Brett say to Casey’s proposal? Smart money is on yes, but fans still want to see the thing with their own eyes. That’s a lot of questions and a lot of things we hope go one particular way.
Think of this as our wish list for Season 11, if you will.
Gallo Exiting Firehouse 51 Alive
Alberto Rosende is leaving Chicago Fire, and hopefully moving on to other fun projects. We already know that exit is coming in the first episode of the Season, titled “Barely Gone.” So, our one hope is that Brett Gallo gets to actually exit the show in a way that doesn’t leave us in tears.
It really isn’t too much to ask. Don’t kill Gallo off. Let me go on to train for Squad, or take care of his aunt. Or both. Leave it open to the possibility that, one day, we could see Gallo again. Don’t rip our hearts out to start the season, please.
A Brettsey Wedding
Brettsey fans have been waiting for this couple to actually be together for a while. And though a wedding doesn’t mean we’ll get to see that, it does kind of guarantee that we’ll get a happily ever after for this season – particularly since Kara Killmer is leaving the show. What better way to leave than with her husband, off to her new life?
Fans of the couple will, however, appreciate seeing just more than Brett as she prepares to marry Casey. They want to see the moment she says yes, the two of them celebrating together – and if possible, the actual wedding. So, can Jesse Spencer come back one more time for that?
Violet Getting to Shine on Her Own Without Being Rushed into Another Romance
Violet Makami has had a rough go of it during her time on Chicago Fire. From her on/off relationship with Gallo, to her love story with Evan Hawkins and then losing him, Violet hasn’t gotten a lot of time to just stop and cope. And now she’s losing both Gallo and Sylvie in the same season, probably her closest friends.
So, what do we want for Violet? Time. Just time. To grieve, to process, to be herself without the show throwing another romance her way. Sure, at some point she’ll be ready and we’ll be ready. But the time isn’t now.
Casey and Severide Together at Some Point
We don’t just want Jesse Spencer back because of what he means to Sylvie – we really want him back so the show can honor the original relationship Chicago Fire was built on, that of Casey and Severide. And of course, if Casey is getting married, Severide has to be the best man. That’s just the way it works.
But hopefully, if they do get time together, it won’t just be about the wedding. It was fun to see Casey back in Season 11, but without Severide there, it was like something was missing. Chicago Fire Season 12 has a chance to fix that and give us the bromance we want and deserve.
The Stellaride Communication and Stability We Have Become Used To
Last but never, ever least, we want Stellaride back. And by that, we don’t just mean we want Kelly and Stella in the same place again, though we of course want that. It means we want to see the two of them communicating. We don’t want any of these weird storylines where they don’t talk to each other for whatever weird reason. Instead, we want them to be the couple we’ve learned to love and trust in.
And we want to see that! No being that couple in the background, either. We want Stellaride front and center, and getting to be happy and go through things as what they’ve always been: a team.

Chicago Fire airs Wednesday at 9/8c on NBC.
Me too I wanna see A Matt Casey and Sylvie Brett wedding they so belong together romantically forever. Yes Violet needs time to heal from Evan Hawkins if she gets a new love interests let him but that man that she could actually love not a one night stand and denfenly not with Gallo exspecialy not with Sam Craver someone that was like a Evan Hawkins or someone from Chicago Med or PD Dr Marcel or Kevin Atwater or Torres or even Peter Mills or Mason. Speaking of them bring back Peter Mills and Mason.
I want Kelly and stella to get divorced and move on she is so whining and he can do better than her I don’t care for stella she’s not a very happy person she’s evil
