We’ve always loved Disney movies. They’ve changed through the years and sometimes it’s been a lot to see just how much. Sometimes we have found ourselves being quiet, rather than asking the obvious, WTF Disney?
One franchise we’re not WTF’ing is The Descendants franchise. We’ve actually found it quite enjoyable. It’s vivid, it’s creative, it’s imaginative, and it’s beautifully shot.
Descendants: The Rise of Red is the next installment of the franchise. In this installment, “the Descendants franchise introduces Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts. After the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter Chloe and travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.”
Disney released some first look pictures of the characters, including of Rita Ora, who will be starring as The Queen of Hearts in the film. She looks FABULOUS.
Ora also posted some behind the scenes photos from being on set, all decked out in her costume, captioning it, “All hail the Queen of Hearts ❤️ Descendants: #TheRiseOfRed, a Disney Original Movie, is available July 12 on @disneyplus.”
But she’s not the only first look that has been released lately. The new children of Disney characters have been added to the iconic franchise. Red and Chloe have been released and their characters look fantastic.
Kylie Cantrall plays Auradon’s newest kid of a villain. The villain kid is named Red, a.k.a. the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, played by Rita Ora. Malia Baker stars as Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella and King Charming, played by Brandy and Paolo Montalban, respectively.
Kylie Cantrall, Malia Baker, Brandy, Rita Ora, Dara Reneé, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, Joshua Colley, Peder Lindell, Grace Narducci, Jeremy Swift, Paolo Montalban, Leonardo Nam, China Anne McClain, and Melanie Paxson all star in the latest Disney Descendants film.
Descendants: The Rise of Red will start streaming on Disney+ on July 12. Are you excited?
