Casting directors are out here doing the lords work and we need to appreciate that about them. Sure, sometimes they miss the mark, but most of the time, they know that to do.
Now, when it comes to the Knives Out franchise, a lot of us think of Chris Evans in that cable knit. Inappropriate thoughts then follow and we’re left with needing to go to confession. However, due to our issues with the catholic church, that’s not happening. So inapproriate thoughts and playing Usher’s song Confessions will have to do.
The latest movie in the Knives Out franchise – it was recently revealed that it would be entitled, Wake Up Dead Man. Now, hey, here we are thinking that someone will be revived from the dead, but also know it can’t go supernatural. Sure, it could. However, we’re choosing to believe that isn’t possible.
Now back to the casting director. They are serving up great casting with the addition of Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny to the cast of the third movie. This is exciting because we love them both.
Now, we haven’t (we is me) seen Challengers, so the love for Josh O’Connor comes from him playing Prince Charles in The Crown. For some reason, he got to us and for a second even made us like Prince Charles.
And Spaeny – well her as Priscilla Presley was just amazing.
Plot details for the third move are unknown (which we love), but we do know that the script was written by Rian Johnson. If we’re thinking about it, we know that it’s definitely going to be good. How do we know? Because the first two were outstanding and with these two, how can they be bad?
Johnson took to Twitter (refuse to call it X) and had confirmed that the movie is about to go into production.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies,” he wrote.
He then said, “We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going.”

Are you looking forward to the next movie? Who do you think should be cast? What are your thoughts? Tell us all the things.
