When it comes to movies about Elvis, they seem to be everywhere these days. We’re not complaining though, being as we definitely love The King and hey, Elvis will always be The King.
There is a new movie about Elvis… kinda. It’s more about Priscilla Presley, but being as it’s got Elvis (even if it’s Jacob Elordi, who we can’t imagine as Elvis), it’s still an Elvis movie. The movie is based on Priscilla Presley’s memoir Elvis and Me.
The official synopsis of the movie, “When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a meteoric rock-and-roll superstar becomes someone entirely unexpected in private moments: a thrilling crush, an ally in loneliness, a gentle best friend. Through Priscilla’s eyes, Sofia Coppola tells the unseen side of a great American myth in Elvis and Priscilla’s long courtship and turbulent marriage, from a German army base to his dream-world estate at Graceland, in this deeply felt and ravishingly detailed portrait of love, fantasy, and fame.”
