There are reasons why one should never say never. Me, I am eating my words that I will never watch anything that has anything to do with football. Who is making me eat my words? Hallmark and The Chiefs.
We all know that I live for Countdown to Christmas. May be the worlds biggest scrooge, but I will forever love the joy that Countdown to Christmas brings. There is only one thing that I dislike more than the holidays. That would be football.
We are teaming up with Hallmark this holiday season for a new, original movie filmed right here in Kansas City!@hallmark x @hallmarkchannel

But, as I am set to walk out the door today, my phone starts blowing up about Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which is set to air this Countdown To Christmas. And on top of that – it’s set to star Tyler Hynes, Hunter King, and Ed Begley.
Every Hynie I know was like, please write what you are going to write and if you don’t write something about Tyler in a football uniform, you have failed us.
I guess I am failing, because, well, objectifying men in tight pants isn’t on the agenda for today, but here we are. What I am going to say is give me time people. I will be at peak talking sh** and peak Hynie fandom once we start hearing more.
The movie is set to start filming next month in Kansas City, Missouri. It makes sense that it is being filmed there, cause you know Hallmark is there and The Chiefs.
“With Hallmark and the Kansas City Chiefs both homegrown, rooted in values, tradition and community, there is a special alchemy between these two iconic organizations,” Hallmark chief brand officer Darren Abbott said in a statement. “By blending the warmth of Hallmark storytelling with the excitement of professional football, we are thrilled to give audiences a front-row seat to this community’s spirit, rich traditions and passionate fans that define Kansas City, all wrapped up in the comforting and uplifting Hallmark way.”
This writer can’t wait for this. Just tell me, am I going to have to learn about football? Cause like, I will never hear the end of this if I do. My friend Lizzie (our EIC) will rejoice if I need to learn about football.
Please Lord, don’t make that happen (I say as I google football for dummies to learn).
