They say never judge a book by its cover, but we wonder can we judge a movie by its poster? We ask, because it’s definitely something that we are doing lately. If you don’t have a good one sheet, character posters, social media, etc – we’re honestly probably going to look past you.
It may be bad and definitely puts some pressure on the marketing people that people do just that. However, some get it right. Some we’re iffy on, but intrigued enough that we’ll be paying attention. Your Monster has intrigued us with the release of their poster.
Starring Melissa Barrera and Meghann Fahy, as well as Tommy Dewey, Edmund Donovan, and Kayla Foster, the movie, “tells the story of the soft-spoken actor Laura Franco (Melissa Barrera), who is dumped by her longtime boyfriend (Edmund Donovan) while recovering from surgery and retreats to her childhood home to recover. With her future looking bleak, insult is added to injury when Laura discovers her ex is staging a musical that she helped him develop. But out of these gut-wrenching life changes emerges a monster (Tommy Dewey) with whom she finds a connection, encouraging Laura to follow her dreams, open her heart and fall in love with her inner rage.”
The movie hits theaters this October. See the movie poster below –
