The love we have for Ryan Reynolds is deep and real. It’s his charm and his sense of humor that gets us every time.
The actor is currently doing a press tour for Deadpool & Wolverine, which means we get all of the great interviews and sound bites. The actor was on SiriusXM’s Town Hall and made a joke about Taylor Swift “suing” him for using a picture of her cats Olivia and Meredith on a t-shirt in the movie.
“Yes, I had a T-shirt made. Yes, of Meredith and Olivia on Wade’s shirt,” Ryan shared on the program, “Yeah, you know, just little details, that’s all.”
One has to appreciate all the little details (that are truly big) that Ryan puts into everything. Host Jenn Cagle asked the superstar if he had to call Swift up and get permission to use the cats likeness.
“No, I was sued. I lost everything in that one. And getting sued by a friend is tough to swallow,” Ryan joked. “Also, she has just a lot of very, very powerful lawyers. I found out later those are just the paralegals. The real lawyers didn’t even bother with it.”
But Ryan did add that he “would never do such a thing,” referring to using the likeness of the cats without permission.
We had to laugh at Ryan making a joke out of everything. It’s always fun when a celebrity jokes with the press.
