Starting this, we need to say that we’re not calling any actor throughout time a liar. Hey, though, we are all human and human beings lie. We do not trust though, when any actor says that it was a scheduling conflict or if they just wanted to do something else.
It’s always more complicated than that.
Yesterday it came out that FBI star, Katherine Renee Kane will depart the show this season. We learned that she’ll be in at least one episode prior to departure. There was no reason given for her departure.
There was also an announcement for Lisette Olivera is joining the cast as a series regular, as Syd. Syd is, “a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is about to rotate into the field.”
We don’t think that we were the only ones taken aback on the announcement of Katherine Renee Kane leaving. We didn’t understand, because she is such a blessing to the show.
“It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best,” Kane shared on Tuesday in a statement to Deadline.
FBI stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd and Katherine Renee Kane. FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, all return to CBS on October 15, 2024.
