Outlander season 7B is coming up! As we count down the days until the premiere, STARZ released some really interesting new photos that left us with our mouths open and our eyes popping out of our sockets in surprise. Time to speculate! Ready?
Here we go!
In these Outlander season 7B photos, we see the return of Jamie, Claire, and Ian to Scotland — seeing Lallybroch again is a balm for our soul — and, with it, the return of some characters we missed so much like Ian Senior and others that we didn’t, like Laoghaire, Claire’s sworn enemy, Jamie’s ex-wife, and one of the most hated characters by the entire fandom, including us.
Apparently, Jamie will have some words with his ex-wife and, from their expressions, that conversation won’t be pleasant at all. Will Laoghaire ask for some financial compensation for their failed marriage? Will she complain to him about Claire’s return? Whatever it is, it seems time to close what was still open between them.
And while all these twists intrigue us, what really surprises us is seeing Dougal and Geillis back, when both are dead. We assume this may have to do with Roger’s time travel, since in season 7A, he went through the stones in search of Jemmy. The stones may well have taken him to a time when Dougal and Geillis were still alive, before the events of season 1.
If we’re talking about Roger, we must talk about Brianna. It seems that Outlander season 7B finds her trying to keep her family together and trying to prevent another attack, although it doesn’t look like those police officers will believe her word…
Back in the past, Lord John Grey and William Ransom are other characters who return with a central role in Outlander 7B. In fact, it seems that William begins to have more prominence in the story. From what we can see in the photos, he ends up injured — in a skirmish as a member of the army, perhaps? — and John calls Claire to come and heal him, which is going to be interesting to see.
Claire will be reunited with the son Jamie had with another woman and the man she knows is in love with her husband…and the one she has always been able to count on whenever she needed him.
The Hunter siblings are going to remain close to the Frasers in Outlander season 7B, especially Rachel, since it seems that her relationship with Ian is going from strength to strength, leaving William with no chance, if he ever had one.
And finally, Jamie and Claire are still holding their ever-growing family together and loving each other like never before. We even see Jamie dressed in a Continental uniform, so there’s sure to be some battles coming up.
Outlander season 7B will premiere on November 22 on STARZ.
