Apple TV+ revealed the trailer for Disclaimer, the acclaimed psychological thriller told in seven chapters, starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, and Sacha Baron Cohen and we love it. Time to analyze it!
Here we go!
The official trailer for Disclaimer introduces us to Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful journalist who has built her career exposing the secrets of powerful individuals. However, her life begins to fall apart when she receives a mysterious book that recounts disturbing events from her own past, something she thought she had left behind and buried.
Suddenly, her seemingly perfect life is disturbed by her darkest secrets and she must once again risk everything to keep them hidden while trying to convince the important people in her life that she is someone she is not. The question is, will she succeed?
The trailer shows a dark and suspenseful tone, with an immersive narration that mixes scenes from the present with flashbacks that slowly reveal the mystery that torments Catherine. The atmosphere of tension is palpable from the first seconds, presenting key questions: Who is behind this book? Why has it come to light now? And most disturbingly, how is it possible that someone knows the most intimate details of her life?
