One thing that I can respect a lot about FOUND is that they are not going to drag out a storyline for the sake of dragging out a storyline. They are going to have a purpose for doing so, even if the viewer doesn’t necessarily agree with the reasons why. They won’t explain themselves, nor will they ask for permission. Instead, they will tell you the way it needs to be.
And that I can respect.
This week’s episode of Found moved things along quickly and if we’re being honest, it wasn’t in a way that I necessarily agreed with. BUT, that being said, they did it and now, as a viewer, I have to accept it.
I don’t necessarily like this week’s episode, but the reasoning behind that is that it moved so fast that it left me feeling like I was getting whiplash.
And I hated that.

FAKE PASSPORTS
Sir scares me. He is absolutely terrifying. Marc Paul Gosselar is absolutely terrifying as Sir and I didn’t think that was possible. I still remember him as Zac Morris, but then watching this show, I have to forget the other characters that he played.
And I just live in fear.
Seeing Sir so casual about his delusions is just mind-boggling. Seeing him call someone about a house out of the country and the fact that he plans on keeping Gabi in the basement? Well, she’s gonna regret all of the things she’s done.
One of the things that I think that this show does so well is to write Sir and his obsession with Gabi. Part of what makes it so good though is the way that Gosselar showcases his range – he’s not just the cute kid from Saved by the Bell or the guy everyone wanted in Pitch. He’s an actor with an incredible amount of range and I personally love that is something that I have learned from this show.
HOSPITAL RELEASES
The fact that we jumped two weeks in this episode isn’t something that I love, but hey, Lacey is okay and that’s a great thing. It’s just also, how did Lacey come out of the hospital with part of her memory gone and no one noticed? What am I missing? Where is the neurologist?
What I do love is that she went to stay with Zeke. Zeke’s love and appreciation for Lacey is a beautiful thing. Neither one of them sees the other person as broken, even though others may.
Zeke having Lacey stay with him – you see this want in him to just keep her safe. He knows that she’s been through a lot and that whatever happens next he’s going to be there with her unconditionally. His want to protect her – to have her see the best in herself and the world, I love that.
I love also the way that she sees this comfort and protection in Zeke. She knows that he is safe and let’s be real, with everything that she’s gone through it feels like no one would be safe. These two – their connection is a real one and I love this. I can’t stop saying I love this, because I do.
I am hoping that this season we’ll get to see them continue to bond, grow, and fall for each other.
I do have to say though, the ending of the show, with Lacey being gone and the front door open – with that alarm going off – I am scared. Seeing the look on Zeke’s face – the physical pain – tore out my soul.
I feel like Lacey has been through enough and if something has happened to her, I am going to have an issue. She’s not a victim and I don’t want her painted like that. She’s stronger than people give her credit for.

MISSING PARENTS
The case this week is parents who have gone missing. It ended up being a domestic violence case and my heart sank over that. One thing that is quite difficult with shows like this is when it is storylines that you can relate to.
And that’s one that I can.
Seeing a son who was distraught over his parents missing and knowing that his Dad harmed his Mom – it was a lot for this poor kid. His Grandmother is trying to hide what her son does and excuse it – well that was just gross. I do understand that as a parent you want to protect your child, but I also think that as a Grandparent, you’d want to protect your Grandson too.
It was no shock to me that the kid’s Mama snapped and fought back. There is only so much that anyone can take. It’s not fair to expect her to just put up with being beaten day after day, and take it. Do I realize that she broke the law? Yes. But I do think that she did so in self-defense.
It’s a hard line to tow. Trent took everything so personally – as he should. Turns out that his sister was a victim of domestic violence and he felt helpless. No matter what he did, his sister would keep going back.
Getting to know this side of Trent was a lot to take, but it was because of seeing him go through all of his feelings.
HEARTACHE OR BREAK?
It’s not a big surprise to anyone that Trent wants to lock Gabi up for what she’s done. He’s really wanting to always abide by the law, but the thing that he’s not seeming to get is nothing is black and white.
I believe that the writers are smart enough that they are going to slow burn the crap out of those two if they even let them get together at all.
Trent may be mad, but the reality is that even if he’s mad, he’ll regret going through the motions rather than just trying to deal with what Gabi has done. His anger is justified – I am not slamming it. But what I am saying is that grief is one thing and cruelty is another.
Others see that Trent is heartbroken and I think that he’s feeling as though Gabi didn’t trust him because she didn’t go to him, which is what really bugs him. He doesn’t know how to deal with the fact that the woman that he loves and that he thought he was connecting with, wasn’t doing the same with him.

Even if he thought she was.
I do love though that he seems to have softened a little around Gabi and that’s sweet. But, I have given up hope for now that he’s going to really let her in because he needs time to heal and so does she.
I ship them, I really do. But I also know that relationships take time and need to be built on trust for them to work. So giving them the space they need to separate and then come back together is what I think will make a stronger story.
You can tell the two aren’t over each other and the reality is that they never may be. But if they are, whatever road they take, I know we’re here for the long haul.
LACEY REMEMBERS
The team has bought their client home and they should be overwhelmingly rejoicing. They’re worried about Lacey, they’re upset about Gabi’s lies, and they are trying to figure out where they go from where they are.
The team is over being a team. Everyone is mad at Gabi, but people are hesitant to say anything because Lacey has seemingly forgotten everything. However, it turns out that she remembered everything and she just hadn’t said anything because they were looking for their missing client.
Yes, Gabi’s lies were something that they would have to face, but my respect goes out to Lacey for the way that she’s willing to move past all of the crimes of the past and look forward to a brand new future. She knows that their team needs to stay together and it’s bigger than just them.

OTHER THOUGHTS
- Why Margaret wants to see where Sir was held, I don’t understand. That’s all
- I ship Lacey and Zeke.
- Fully know I should care about Sir and his issues and stalking right now, but I was so wrapped up in M&A team, that I didn’t care
- If Sir hurts Trent, we riot
- People need to listen to Lacey more
The quality of this show continues to surprise me in all the best ways. The writing and the acting continue to be top notch.
I think this episode ratcheted down the Sir fear because he needed to serve the role of lurker. Once you realize his goal was not to hurt Trent, he became exactly what the show wanted him to be, a background character. In some ways, this, his ability to be right there and still unseen, makes him more frightening.
I hope the show either pisses or gets off the pot with Margaret, because while she is not in the wrong in regards to her feeling betrayal and lack of trust, she can’t continue to be the member of the team who won’t let go of her anger towards Gabi.
I too am hoping that Gabi and Trent and Zeke and Lacey find their ways to one another. Sadly, I doubt the show will give us two happy and functioning (for lack of a better term) couples.
Love your thoughts on Sir. <3
