The newly released trailer for Young Werther movie, starring Douglas Booth, Alison Pill, and Patrick J. Adams — who will always be our beloved Mike from Suits — gives us a glimpse at a modern adaptation of the classic tragic romance novel and we love it! Ready to know why?
Here we go!
In Young Werther, while on a simple errand to Toronto, a carefree and charming young writer named Werther stumbles across the love of his life only to discover that the young woman is engaged. Despite the urgings of his hypochondriac best friend, Werther turns his world upside down in a desperate, misguided and hilarious quest to win her heart.
In Young Werther trailer we see how Werther and Charlotte meet and sparks fly between them. He falls madly in love with her, but Charlotte is engaged and, while Werther is determined to win her over, she is determined to keep things with him just a friendship. But nothing is as easy as it seems.
Charlotte begins to share fun and increasingly intimate moments with Werther and that makes her resolve waver. She can’t help to compare her fiancé to Werther. While Werther is impulsive and passionate, Albert seems to be more rational and reserved, almost as if he doesn’t care about her and has no interest in having time for her, for them.
This love triangle promises a drama full of tension, where each character is caught in a web of emotions that takes them to the limit and we can’t wait to see it!
Young Werther movie will premiere in theaters, on demand, and on digital December 13.
