With Wicked right around the corner, it’s no surprise that it’s becoming our entire personality. Especially after the premiere and we’ve seen everyone crying over the movie. We knew that it was going to be great and life changing, we’ve just had some life affirming moments that we were right based on reactions.
Ethan Slater, who plays Boq in the adaptation, was at the Los Angeles premiere and spoke with Variety about being bullied as a kid and was asked about what he would say to the people that made fun of him as a kid.
“I would say, I extend a hand to you, and I know that hurt people hurt people,” he said. “But also I hope that you’re able to embrace who you are, and also maybe that you grew a red beard.”
Now, though some may take that as the high road, and we definitely think it is. Though we’re a little unsure if the last line was a little shade. It’s the level that keeps us questioning, but loving it at the same time.
