We’ve been talking a lot about Masters of The Universe and well, we are here to talk about it again. But hey, we get to talk about Idris Elba and that is always something that we enjoy doing.
The actor is negotiations to play Duncan, also known as Man-at-Arms, in the forthcoming live-action Masters of the Universe. That means Camila Mendes will be playing his daughter.
The Man-at-Arms is the creator of weapons. He’s a mentor to Prince Adam (and if you don’t know, Prince Adam is He-Man). He’s raised his daughter, Teela on his own after her mother fled to protect Castle Greyskull. His life is pretty complicated.
In the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, Camila Mendes will be starring as Teela, alongside Nicholas Galitzine, who will be playing He-Man, and Alison Brie who will be a villain.
Idris Elba is a busy man, and his next movie is voicing Sonic the Hedgehog in that franchise. We’ve loved him in such movies and televisions shows as Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, Luther, the Thor franchise and more.
Would we love to see him in this franchise? Absolutely.
