It is awards show season and we’re trying to stay focused on this years movie, but we know it’s just not something we are good at doing. We like to look to the future and to the past. We think about all of these movies that we are looking forward to and one that rings in the top 3? Well that is The Woman in Me adaptation.
We loved the insight in Britney Spears book, and knowing that John Chu is adapting it, well that is enough to get us excited. If you haven’t read the book, it follows Spears life and how she has survived the twists and turns of stardom and more.
With awards season in full swing, there is a lot of press going on and we are so glad that Entertainment Tonight asked about the adaptation and Britney Spears.
“She’s going to be very involved,” Chu said on the Golden Globes red carpet. “I haven’t really started anything fully yet, but she will be very involved in this. I have ideas and things, an approach, but it’s very early.”
We know that we’ve been following any piece of news that came out and there hasn’t been much. We do love to see all of the fan castings, and don’t think that Chu doesn’t see them. He does.
“I’ve seen all fan castings, and I always take those into consideration because maybe there’s a good idea out there,” Chu said. “But we’ll have to see what the approach of the movie is before we know who’s right for it.”
