The Way Home is a rarity. What do I mean by that? It’s a show that keeps improving with every episode and somehow draws you in deeper and deeper with every episode. The Way Home is a show you can’t figure out, even when you see the clues.
You don’t know that the clues are right there in front of you.
In this week’s episode, “Alice and Kat get a lesson in asking the right questions, Del rails against changes to the family dynamic, and Elliot tries to understand his father.”
Nothing is ever that easy in Port Haven, we know that.
With leaving off with Colton coming out of the pond, I have a lot of questions. Can he time travel? What does he know about the pond? In one of the pictures, he looks to be in agony.
And I wonder how hard it is for Alice to see her Grandpa in such agony.
Then there is Del and Kat. I think that we all know that these two are going to fight all the time – it’s what they do. I do hope that they find a common ground – for Alice and Jacobs’s sake.
Yes, I included Jacob in that, because I do believe that he needs his sister right there. He’s on the edge and it’s his life that has been turned upside down. So I do believe that it would be really hard for him to not have Kat right there.
Granted, I have also never been Team Elliott – though I get the allure. I just think that Elliott is hanging on to a fantasy and not seeing who Kat really is. Meaning she’s not this object of perfection that he’s made her out to be. I also think that Elliott needs to get his past to focus on the future.
He doesn’t know who he is.
Yes, The Way Home is complicated, but I love that complicated web of time and lies and drama and family.
