2025 is looking to be the year of Kaitlyn Dever.
For many, the 28-year-old actress may look familiar. Her breakout role in the 2019 film Booksmart as Amy not only set the next stage for her career but also for that of her costar Beanie Feldstein. From there she’s done drama, comedy, romance, and horror. But 2025 where we think she’s really going to become a mainstay in Hollywood.
First up she’s got Apple Cider Vinegar, which is premiering on Netflix on February 6. The mini-series tells the story of wellness guru Belle Gibson, who pretends to have cancer and alleges to be keeping the disease under control with “clean living” techniques. It’s based on a true story of an Australian influencer who claimed to have healed her terminal brain cancer by eating a healthy diet.
Dever’s also starring in The Last of Us season 2 as Abby Anderson. The series stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey and tells the story of a world ravaged by a fungus that transforms its victims into violent monsters. Dever is another survivor named Abby. And let’s just say, she will be remembered like her character was when the video game came out in 2020.
