The Chronicles of Narnia adaptation from Greta Gerwig is something that we’ve been sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for. The books have made a difference in our lives and well, when you add Greta Gerwig’s name to anything, you’ve got our attention.
She is a genius after all.
The adaptation is coming to Netflix, but we’ve been wondering, would it be available in movie theaters? We love to watch an adaptation at home, but with a movie like this, we’d love to see it on the big screen.
Thank the Netflix gods that it is. Greta’s adaptation is getting exclusive two-week Imax global run in 90 countries across 1,000 auditoriums in advance of the pic’s premiere on Netflix.
Narnia will release in Imax on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, 2026 and debut on Netflix on Christmas Day 2026 (December 25th). We know our Thanksgiving plans are set. Why? Because in addition to Narnia, the other movie releasing around Thanksgving of 2026 is The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
Double header? We think so too.
