Here we go!
What is Jurassic World: Rebirth About?
Starring iconic action superstar Scarlett Johansson, the talented Jonathan Bailey — yeah, our beloved Viscount in Bridgerton and one of our favorite characters in Wicked — and two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Rebirth follows a fearless team on land, sea, and air who do the impossible to obtain the DNA of the three most colossal creatures to walk the planet. Rupert Friend and Manuel García-Rulfo round out the cast.
In Jurassic World: Rebirth, five years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion, the ecology of planet Earth has proven unbearable for the dinosaurs. The few that remain live in isolated environments in the equatorial regions, where the climate resembles that of the one they once knew. The three largest creatures within this tropical biosphere are key to creating a drug that will bring miraculous benefits to the human race.
Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert hired to lead a team of specialists on a secret mission to obtain genetic material from the three largest dinosaurs in the world. However, Zora’s operation will cross paths with a family whose boat is capsized by aquatic dinosaurs and they all end up on an island where they will discover a very sinister secret that had remained hidden from the world for decades.
Duncan Kincaid stars as Ali, Zora’s right-hand man, and most trusted person. Emmy-nominated and Olivier Award-winning actor Jonathan Bailey is paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis. Emmy-nominated actor Rupert Friend plays Big Pharma boss Martin Krebs. Meanwhile, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked family. Rounding out the cast are Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda as Reuben’s family. Members of Zora and Krebs’ teams include Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.
In the new look, Zora and Dr. Henry are in a cave of sorts, next to a nest. They are inspecting what looks like a dinosaur egg…and they seem really interested in it. What secrets might it hide? Jurassic World: Rebirth is produced by Academy Award nominees Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley., who have a long history of producing the franchise. Plus, they also produced the blockbuster Twisters. Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer are executive producers.
Jurassic World: Rebirth opens in theaters on July 2.
