We love a limited series. Why? Because that’s what television all around feels like with their short seasons. Also, we definitely like knowing that things will be wrapped up. That is important because in case of cancellation we want to know that we have closure. Sirens looks like a show that we’re going to get that from.
Closure.
With Netflix releasing the photos for the show, we know what we’re getting. We’re getting amazing actors with a limited series run. So will we watch? Yes. We love a show that seems like everyone thinks they are too good for everyone else and they are put in their place.
Do we know that happens? Nope. Are we guessing? Absolutely. It’s a five episode series that premieres on May 22nd.
In the series, “Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell. Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention, but she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. Told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate, Sirens is an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.”
Netflix released some pics that we’re intrigued by. We like to guess. Sirens is the first series from showrunner, Molly Smith Metzler’s creative partnership with Netflix. It is based on her play Elemeno Pea, which she wrote at The Juilliard School. 2021’s acclaimed limited series Maid was Metzler’s first project with Netflix.
Sirens stars Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, Kevin Bacon, Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp and Felix Solis.
