Celebrities taking time off to be with their family and to devote time to being a Mom or Dad is something that we can definitely get behind. We love and always agree with family first.
Katherine Heigl is one of those actresses who stepped away to focus on family. She has done some acting since then, but not as much as one may expect. Now, with the resurgence of the 90s/early 2000s in style, movies from that time are also in style. Reboots, sequels, or just watching the original.
27 Dresses was a movie that Katherine Heigl starred in, and we can all relate to. In the movie, Heigl is the ultimate bridesmaid – she has been one 28 times. Heigl’s character is roped into helping her sister plan her wedding and ends up falling in love with the reporter who is doing a story on it. The lesson we learned from watching it originally – always the bridesmaid, never the bride, but if you play your cards right, you’ll have a really good time.
We’ve always thought that a sequel would be great, but there has never been talk of one. Recently, though, Heigl spoke about what it would take for her to do a sequel to the successful 2008 film.
“I think that we’re in talks about a 27 Dresses sequel, which, if done right and with that cast I love so much, would definitely be something I’d be willing to sort of compromise the mom time to do,” Heigl told E! News.
We would definitely need the return of other actors who starred in the original film, also. Those include James Marsden, Malin Akerman, and Judy Greer. We’d even love the return of Edward Burns.
