Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 22 ‘It Had To End This Way’ sounds like a pretty ominous finale. Because what had to end this way? Carver and Ritter‘s storyline? We already know they’re leaving? Pascal’s? At this point it feels like him leaving is a longshot, Severide is going to help clear his name. The Stellaride baby storyline? Because if the answer to that is Natalie, then it didn’t have to end that way.
What about Herrmann and Mouch? If Pascal isn’t leaving, the situation with them feels like it has hit a breaking point. Mouch deserves to be a Lieutenant. But he doesn’t have a spot at Firehouse 51. So what are we going to do? We don’t know, but we’re a little concerned going into the finale, we’re not gonna lie.

My big fear about the final episode is that Carver will die. If that happens, it will be the second time that someone Violet has loved will have died in the line of duty. If they do that, they are setting up season 14 to have Violet spiral out of control. Think Lindsay after Nadia’s death kind of spiral.
