Trinity sounds like something that we’ll find ourselves watching. The upcoming Netflix show is about “a heroic female naval officer who becomes involved with the outwardly charismatic Secretary of Defense, only to discover that he may be at the heart of a dangerous conspiracy.”
Sounds captivating, right? If the synopsis isn’t enough to pique your interest, maybe the fact that Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Lift, Surface) and Richard Madden (Bodyguard, Eternals) have been tapped to lead the show will make you want to watch.
It does us. We loved Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Loki and Richard Madden – well, there isn’t anything that he does that we haven’t loved.
Mbatha-Raw will play Commander Katherine Decker. Decker is a bad-a** who is the second in command on a nuclear submarine. The submarine, USS Kansas, carries one of the deadliest weapons on earth.
Madden will play Secretary of Defense Webb Preston. We really would love to know if this means he’ll be in a suit a lot because – hey – him in a suit sounds sexy. Anyhow, though, Preston knows how to use technology and is different than most politicians. His knowledge of technology, his innovation, and more set him apart, but make him a target in more ways than one.
While we don’t know when this will be premiering, we know we’ll be watching. What about you? What do you think?
