I think that a lot of us are filled with indecision, fear, and are just trying to find our way. The thing is, though – on land or by sea – finding our way isn’t always easy. Being vulnerable enough to chase down your dreams and allow people to see the side of you where fear lives – that is beautiful.
On this week’s episode, there were a lot of people facing their fears and learning how to open their hearts to change and growth. Being in a new environment, having new opportunities can take you out of your comfort zone.
And it doesn’t have to be the biggest thing – sometimes it is the smallest things that can propel you forward. Maybe what I learned was that getting out of your comfort zone will only enrich your life.
We’re experiencing new moments with everyone on the cruise. There was a lot of saying yes. Yes to marriage, yes to opportunities, and yes to letting go.
Alicia and Gloria
When Alicia and Gloria are together, what we see is true friendship. They are the ideal. They have journeyed through ups and downs and made it. Their relationship has evolved into being family, and that is definitely something that no one can break.
The two are going on ATV’s and there is some nervousness. Then Tyler Hynes shows up, and excitement kicks in.

I don’t know about all of you, but I have some thoughts. One of the best moments of this episode was that Tyler was there to help and draw them out of their comfort zone. But he was also there, reminding them of their own strength and the way that they can make it through anything. And why was that? Because they had each other.
I think that it’s important for anyone to see their own strength, because it’s only when you know that you are able to continue to find the courage to keep embracing your strength.
Alicia is a daredevil, and Gail is a rule follower. They’ve made a promise to keep going out of their comfort zone this cruise, and watching them do just that, with Tyler’s help, was really sweet. It was nice to see them know that they can embrace their lives and whatever happens, well, it happens. Their friendship is going to be the most beautiful thing to grow.
I love that all of the Hallmark stars have been there for all of the cruisers. It’s been sweet. It just hasn’t been my favorite part. Before that, these cruisers learned to find a way to believe in themselves.
Everyone went on a cruise to embrace their love of Hallmark. It’s been so great to see that. That being said, I am hoping that each celebrity knows that their presence can really change someone. The words that you say and the things that you do can make a person feel less alone.
It can also make a person feel special. Compliments come far and few between in this world, so when you have the chance to give kindness, you should. The kindness that Tyler showed these two is going to be something that sticks with them. That kindness will allow them to believe that there are good people out in the world, and they are definitely on that good list.
KERRY AND HER GIRLS
One thing that I did love was that we picked up right where we left off. Paige had just told her Mom that she wanted to move back to California. It’s where she feels the most at peace, but letting her Mom down feels like too much.
Kerry has been through a lot. She ended up having a mastectomy and a few health issues. Paige came home to be there for her Mom and has lived her life for her family.
I have to say, i didn’t expect myself to cry at this conversation that they were having, but I am glad I did. Kerry has been through a lot but the one thing she knows is that the she needs to sacrifice and let her little girl follow her path. Paige seemed to have a sense of relief when she had that conversation.

The three of them on this cruise – you have to love that they love each other so much that they will do whatever it takes to make each other happy. Kerry may not want her daughter to leave, but she knows it is what is best.
You have to respect a family that loves each other, wants to be there for each other, and genuinely treasures these moments of togetherness. It’s heartwarming.
Kerry, seeing Taylor Cole sitting there, reading, later that night, made me smile for Kerry. The way that the two were able to bond and spend a moment connecting. It goes to show you that social media and what you post can bring comfort to others. Taylor’s posts definitely brought comfort to Kerry and made her feel less alone.
What we say and how we act can and does affect others. We need to remember that kindness counts. Cole didn’t do anything but post about her friend, but it brings awareness to breast cancer. I can’t imagine what it must have meant to Kerry to meet her.
LAURA AND VICTORIA
It’s always interesting to see a family dynamic. Laura and Victoria are so close and doing everything to cheer each other on in life. Being on this cruise, they are going to push each other even more.
Like only a sister can.
Victoria is embracing this time with her sister while being pregnant. Laura is embracing this time to try a get her script read. Now, I was a little shocked when Sarah and Ben were like we’ll take it and get it into the right hands.
Sharing what you are writing or what you have written is scary. Your heart is on a page. Allowing strangers to read your words and then give you feedback. Man, that makes me watch through my fingertips out of fear.
But these two were willing to take chances. No matter what happens, they have each other’s backs. They don’t flinch when Paul Campbell leaves a note on their door wanting to talk to them about the script.
I would have puked. Not these tw,o though – they take it all head-on. I kinda loved seeing them. Inspiration level 100.
PROPOSED TO
When Rob got the courage to propose, when he knew it was the right moment, I couldn’t help but smile for them. These two have been for everything, BUT you can tell that when Rob looks at Donna, he sees nothing else. She is his world.

It’s sweet and the love that anyone would hope they have at the end of the day. He wants to move mountains for her and make sure that everything is perfect. Most of us would have thought that someone was crazy wanting to marry us the next day.
But that was exciting for these two. Granted, they’ve got a television production behind them. It just also felt like Rob could make anything happen for her. These two are getting married on the ship.
Everyone loves a wedding, and well, I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what happens. This wedding sounds fun.
MISTER SHIPMAS
It is a rule that you have to love everything that Jonathan Bennett does. We don’t make the rules (we do), but we do follow them (this one only). The actor hosted a contest on board – Mister Shipmas. It’s a take on his popular show, Mister Christmas.
It’s during the competition that Rob tells Jonathan that he proposed and she said yes. In celebration, Jonathan tells the crowd and Rob invites the entire boat.
I love the possibility of the whole boat showing up for the wedding. I love the possibility of who could be her maid of honor and who his groomsmen will be. There are just so many beautiful opportunities here.
Mr. Shipmas looked like a ton of fun, and that’s what this cruise is all about. Fun and fandom.
OTHER THOUGHTS
- Erin Cahill and Sarah Drew’s friendship is adorable
- I love Erin Cahill’s genuine smile all the time
- I can’t wait to hear what Paul and Kim say about the script. I had to watch through my fingers, cause I was scared and wouldn’t have the courage to put my writing out there.
- I love that all of these Hallmark stars pull out of the cruisers what is already there; they just needed to believe in themselves.
Christmas at Sea is streaming now on Hallmark+.
