SDCC 2025 just gave us, Outlander fans, the emotional rollercoaster we didn’t know we needed. And now we’re still recovering. STARZ brought the Fraser family legacy to Hall H in a panel that delivered surprises, sneak peeks, live music, and big announcements about both the main series and its highly anticipated prequel Outlander: Blood of My Blood. Let’s break it all down!
First Look at the Final Season of ‘Outlander’
It’s almost time to say goodbye. We finally have confirmation: the eighth and final season of Outlander will premiere in early 2026. The announcement came with a heart-tugging teaser trailer that shows the Frasers navigating love, war, and fate—across decades and continents.
In the teaser, we look back at some of the most meaningful moments between Jamie and Claire and the promises they’ve made to each other. Everything they’ve been through has led to this moment. Together, protecting their family, no matter what. But what happens when the price is one of their lives? In an intriguing twist—one that blew our minds—the teaser shows us Jamie’s possible future…and we’re just praying it doesn’t fulfilled.
We don’t have all the answers yet, but one thing’s clear: Jamie Fraser’s destiny is still very much in flux. The trailer promises romance, heartbreak, and one final ride for the couple that redefined what it means to love across time. For us, this is the beginning of the end—and we’re already bracing ourselves.

‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood’ Gets Double Premiere and First Clips
As one chapter ends, another begins. STARZ’s panel also featured the cast and creators of Outlander: Blood of My Blood. Showrunner Matthew B. Roberts surprised fans by revealing that the series will debut with two episodes on August 8. Two emotional first-look clips followed. One is centered on Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater), and the other on Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine).
The scene between Brian and Ellen is electrifying. For us, it’s the way they grow closer, their gaze never leaving each other’s. It’s the way Brian respects Ellen’s boundaries and the way she challenges him at every turn, displaying her sharp tongue and courage. For us, it’s the way we feel the chemistry between them in a way only Jamie and Claire have ever made us feel. And Jamie definitely learned from his father how to be the king of men. We love them, Your Honor.
As for the scene between Julia and Henry, it surprised us at every turn! We loved the sweetness and the love felt between them. And when Julia speaks, goddess, it’s as if Claire were standing right there in front of us. They’re two peas in a pod. Mischievous and bold. However, what left us speechless was that she and Henry were talking about Claire and her Uncle Lamb. We need answers!
All the footage teased a world just as romantic, political, and dangerous as the original. If these first scenes are any indication, we’re in for another unforgettable saga full of yearning, secrets, and destiny.

Bagpipes, Ballads, and a Hall H Sing-Along
The vibes were unmatched. Between the two panels, fans were treated to a surprise performance from Raya Yarbrough, whose voice has defined the Outlander theme since the beginning. She sang her iconic version of “The Skye Boat Song” live, sparking a Hall H sing-along that turned emotional and electric.
Then came the bagpipers—yes, actual bagpipers—playing “Scotland the Brave” as the stage transformed for the Blood of My Blood presentation. The music wasn’t just a performance. It was a way to reconnect us to the soul of Outlander: Scotland, family, and legacy.
