No one will ever be able to convince me that a Labubu movie is a necessary thing. In fact, the total opposite over here. Those things scare me. Really, no lie. They scare me. Yet, here we are and no shock that they are making one. Make that money.
It’s still early. Sony has obtained the rights to the popular doll. It’s still early on and there are no writers, actors, or producers attached. There is also no clarification if it will be animated or if it will live action. NGL, if it is live action, I will hate watch it to laugh as some one dressed as a Labubu.
Unless it is a horror movie and then, there is nothing in the world that could get me to watch it.
Sony had no comment on it. We know that Labubu’s are extremely popular and there will be a lot of people excited about this.
Hong Kong-born, European-based artist Kasing Lung designed Labubu’s and they are made by Pop Mart. They have sold for a lot of money – like more money than we would ever pay.
But we admit that we do love the whole blind box of it all. We will just wait and see what happens.
