When you talk about anything having to do with The Hunger Games, we listen. Our lives are filled with memories of when The Hunger Games franchise started. We started as a Hunger Games fansite – long ago. Lionsgate was so kind to the fandom and gave us amazing access to the stars of the franchise.
We miss those days.
With Sunrise on the Reaping right around the corner (at least it feels like it) we’ve been wondering about surprises and what could and will happen. Yes, we’ve read the book, but it feels like we may get surprises.
And one of the biggest surprises that we’re excited for is that it has been confirmed that Hunger Games canon stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning for the prequel – The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
The official description is giving us nothing, just in case you’re wondering. It reads: “THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING revisits the world of Panem and follows young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.”
We may be gasping and so excited to know that two of our favorites are returning to Panem. Now we are not shocked that this is happening, but are excited that it is. Katniss and Peeta forever.
