Day 1 – Benophie Promo Video
Since Bridgerton Season 4 went into production, there have been plenty of glimpses at Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha’s chemistry as the season’s leads. Whether it be their first interview together or reading a page from Julia Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman, the two actors have shone. It was only at this year’s Season of Love event that Bridgerton fans saw Thompson and Ha in character as Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek in new photos and a behind-the-scenes video of Season 4. Since then, the promotional material has mostly introduced (or reintroduced in Benedict’s case) their characters separately.
This new promo video changes that and complements the two that have come before it. After Benedict and Sophie’s individual promo videos, there is finally one of them together. The caption reads: “Indeed, this season we may witness just what happens when one must choose between fantasy and reality.” That taps into the fairy-tale-inspired bits of their romance, as Quinn’s book is a Cinderella retelling. The video itself is short but sweet. Their stolen glances never meet, but Benedict and Sophie smile in unison at the end. If that video’s not the perfect way to kick off the 12 Days of Bridgerton, what is?

Day 2 – Characters in New Photos
Today’s gift is three new episodic stills from Bridgerton Season 4! Netflix and Shondaland released the last batch of photos in October, so this is much appreciated. This update comes on the heels of Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive glimpse at the upcoming season, including new photos from the episodes. There are no details about which episodes these new photos come from. Regardless, the caption reads: “Happy Holidays, dear reader, do allow this author to spoil you with riches….” We’re certainly feeling spoiled!
In one photo, Penelope Bridgerton (Nicola Coughlan) appears to be at Violet Bridgerton’s Masquerade Ball — dressed as a pirate! Meanwhile, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), in a maid’s uniform, appears to be holding the glove that the Lady in Silver wears at the ball. It’s unclear where she’s at in this photo or who she’s working for at the time. But it does seem that she has great fondness for the glove, and we’ll be reading between those lines until we know more. Alternatively, it’s much harder to decipher any context clues from the new photo of Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton. Wherever he is, it seems like he has his head in the clouds. But what – or who – is he thinking about?

Day 4 – Holiday Notes from the Cast
Luke Thompson, Yerin Ha, and Hannah Dodd filled out some holiday-themed questionnaires from the perspectives of Benedict Bridgerton, Sophie Baek, and Francesca Bridgerton – or Kilmartin, as of Bridgerton Season 3. Shondaland shared that the cast completed the questionnaires while visiting the company’s NYC office. It’s certainly a creative way to learn more about the characters ahead of Season 4. For instance, Sophie would want a raise as a gift, and, of course, Benedict would like to take his sister, Eloise, on a holiday vacation.
Meanwhile, Hannah Dodd writes that Francesca would want to spend a holiday vacation with Eloise, John, and Michaela. We are eager to know how the characters’ time in Scotland went. We’re also excited to see what else is in store for the remainder of the 12 Days of Bridgerton. We’re only on Day 4! So, we’ll end it with Shondaland’s note: “P.S. Commit to all 12 days. We’ll talk after.”

Day 5 – More New Photos
The latest Bridgerton surprise comes in the form of three new photos. Shondaland’s caption reads, “This author eagerly awaits the chance to greet both new and returning faces this season….” How exciting!
The first is another glimpse at a new character to the show – Lady Araminta Gun, played by Katie Leung. As a reminder, her character description defines Araminta as “twice-married and twice-widowed,” and feeling the pressure of trying to get her two daughters, Rosamund and Posy, married. She is also “the formidable Lady of the house” at which Sophie works as a maid. It’s difficult to make out what Araminta is holding in the photo, but she definitely looks formidable.
The other two photos are of familiar faces in Bridgerton’s social circle. One of which features Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury, who appears to have a lot on her mind. Really, the same appears to be true in the photo of Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel). Could it be that Lady Whistledown, aka Penelope Bridgerton (The silhouette even looks like her now!), wrote something that has the ton spinning? We don’t have much longer to wait to know the juicy details.

Stay tuned for more!
