Love figure skating, or do you even just watch it whenever the Winter Olympics roll around? Maybe you only know about that one super hot ice dance team that even people who’ve never watched the sport seem to ship. (Shout out to Olympic gold medalists Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir…) What about Austen-style romance? If your answer to any of the above is “yes,” Netflix has exactly the show for you — Finding Her Edge. The 8-episode series, based on best-selling author Jennifer Iacopelli’s book by the same name, comes just in time to get everyone talking about skating again ahead of the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.
So, what can you expect? Here’s everything we know.
What is the show about?
The logline from Netflix says: “The series follows the three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. As middle sister, seventeen-year-old Adriana trains for the World Championships with new partner Brayden, while still harbouring feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie. Her life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.”
Jeff Norton (Geek Girl, The Small Hand) is the showrunner/EP/writer. Executive producers also include Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts and Angela Boudreault for WildBrain. Writers joining Norton are head writer Shelley Scarrow (Wynonna Earp, Degrassi: The Next Generation), Sabrina Sherif (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Wild Cards), Jacqueline Pepall. Pepall and Shamim Sarif (You, The Way Home) are set to direct.
Are there any pictures?
Yes! There’s even an interesting note on the key art (which you can see below): “It’s a thin line between love and skate.”

Who is in the cast?
Madelyn Keys (A Mother’s Life, The Exchange) and Cale Ambrozic (Hotel Cocaine, We Were Liars) play Adriana and Brayden, and Freddie will be played by Olly Atkins (Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Casket Girls). The cast also includes Harmon Walsh (Gossip Girl, Murdoch Mysteries), Alexandra Beaton (Overcompensating, Luckiest Girl Alive, The Next Step), Meredith Forlenza (Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, Blindspot), Alice Malakhov (Anne With an E, Reverse 1999), Niko Ceci (I Woke Up a Vampire, Odd Squad), and Millie Davis (The Umbrella Academy, Wonder).
