Here we go!
Silent Support

Morgan makes her feelings about that arrogant rich guy clear in High Potential Season 2 Episode 9 ‘Under the Rug.’ And we love her for that. But this guy knew how to get to her. He found her weakness. That thing she desperately tries to hide, even from herself. Morgan grew up feeling like she wasn’t good enough. Her father made her feel that way by showing his disappointment that Morgan wasn’t like him.
That feeling shaped her entire life. Morgan settled for less because she felt she didn’t deserve anything good. Like someone who would love her, or a job where she could explore her talent. Because, deep down, Morgan knows that everything has an expiration date. She knows she’ll end up disappointing everyone, and that will be the end of it. That’s what she learned.
Now that Morgan has a job she loves, those insecurities had sunk deep into her mind. But this case, this man, manages to bring them back with full force in High Potential Season 2 Episode 9 ‘Under the Rug.’ And Morgan can’t help but feel inadequate. But the best part is the way Karadec supported her.
Karadec was there for her and made it clear that she is more than enough, yes, but he also let her be sad. Karadec let Morgan know he was there for her, but he also gave her space to feel bad. Because it’s okay not to be okay. And sometimes we just need to sit and lick our wounds. And Karadec understood that’s what Morgan needed right now.
So he spared her empty words, or rather, he just let her be. He gave her the space and time to realize that all that talk about not being enough was garbage and to pick herself up. As she always has. But Karadec let her know she wasn’t alone. Because sometimes that’s what matters most.

A Child’s Illusion

We love Elliot and we understand him. Seeing that flowers in High Potential Season 2 Episode 9 ‘Under the Rug’ made Elliot realize that Morgan might be dating someone. And Elliot wants his father to be the one. And he doesn’t understand why he isn’t making a move. That frustrates him.
Elliot is afraid of losing his last chance for his parents to get back together. His last chance to fix his family. So he takes matters into his own hands, in true The Parent Trap style. But life doesn’t work that way. Morgan and Ludo are friends, they’re there for each other and would do anything for the kids…but they’re not in love anymore. That’s over, no matter how much Elliot insists. And that’s okay. Neither of them was to blame, it just happened.
It hasn’t happened yet that Ludo or Morgan have anything serious with anyone, but it will, and Elliot needs to understand that it’s not a bad thing. And that when it does happen, it won’t change the fact that they’re family, and Ludo will always be there for him, just like Morgan. So we’re glad that Ludo and Morgan talked to Elliot and made him understand. We’re proud of Elliot for doing it. It’s not easy to accept that his family will never be the same as he once knew it, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing.

Other Stuff in High Potential Season 2 Episode 9 ‘Under the Rug’

- We loved seeing Daphne say more than two lines this episode.
- But we still want to see more of her. And Oz too.
- We can’t help but feel there’s a spark between the captain and Morgan.
- But he definitely knows something happened with that painting.
- We love that Karadec protects Morgan so fiercely. For a man who follows the rules as closely as Karadec, it’s not easy to lie to his superior to his face, but there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for Morgan.
- We’re proud of Morgan and the woman she’s become. She uses her gift to help people. And anyone who disagrees can burn in h**ll.
- We love Morgadec slowburn.
- Why does everyone underestimate Morgan? Thank goodness she always kicks their a**es!
- We really liked that Morgan didn’t hold back and was clear about what she thought of that rich jerk.
