Now that our collective hacker nightmare is over, 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 Episode 9 “Pipe Dreams” is proving to test everyone, including viewers and those trapped in a club door after a stampede.
9-1-1: Nashville began this journey in Season 1 by trying to sell us a story about a father and son reconnecting. They also tried to sell us a story about a young man who never had any formal firefighter training somehow being allowed to be a firefighter. After minimal training, it seems that “Pipe Dreams” is sealing the deal by giving Blue some sort of badge during a ceremony with his mother, father, and team in attendance. (Sorry, we’re not firefighters here.)

On the Don and Blythe side of things, according to the synopsis, these two are going to see their marriage tested. One guess as to who will be doing the testing. It’s got to be Dixie, who is seen in the promo for “Pipe Dreams” being told that her polyps are worsening before we see her collapsing at whatever ceremony is going on for Blue. Of course, Don is going to want to help, because that’s who he is. And it could cause some tension with his wife.
Finally there’s Ryan and Sam. Everything’s been quiet for him when it comes to his marriage. And he looks pretty happy if the photo of him with a cat below is any indication. Oh yeah, and the dinner photos we’re seeing. But they’ve made it clear that they have fallen out multiple times with each other. They almost called it quits too. Maybe this episode is the final straw and moment where they realize this is the end. They need a divorce.
