We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Raquel: I could mention all the Polin and Benophie moments from Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, but I’ll stick with the one of the whole family dancing at John’s funeral in the Scottish style. It brought tears to my eyes, although undeniably Daphne, Simon, Kate, and Anthony should have been there.
Jade: My entries are going to be Paradise heavy because 1) the show is phenomenal and 2) it dropped three episodes this week. So picking just one favorite scene feels almost impossible. There are so darn many to choose from. If I have to choose just one, I’ll go with the face-off between Sinatra and Jane. There was so much subtext and an undercurrent of danger that felt different from both sides as these two incredibly dangerous women took each other’s measure. Just fantastic acting all around.
Aracelis: As for best scene of the week, I have to give it to Rob winning The Traitors. I won’t lie, I was a little irritated at the lack of faithfulness from the Faithfuls, but Rob absolutely used that to his advantage and won a hell of a game. He was very smart throughout the entire season, and seeing him win was the icing on top. He was skilled and definitely not the Rob we saw on Love Island, that’s for sure. I’m glad Rob won, a lot of it was luck, but a lot of it was skill as well.
Rachel: The scene where Martin apologized to Louisa and revealed his fear of blood to her on Best Medicine was an excellent scene. It’s important for him as a character, for them as a ship, and it’s important to the overall plotting of the show in general. Plus, Josh Charles and Abigail Spencer performed it perfectly.
Ship of the Week

Jade: I have to give this to Xavier and Teri on Paradise. I already loved them last season in just the glimpse I saw of them. But the flashback this week? When Xavier quietly lined up everything Teri would need to give her a sense of security when she was scared? It stole my whole heart. And Teri’s too.
Aracelis: I have to give it to May and Ravi. I’ve been on that bandwagon for so long after seeing people on TikTok ship them, and to finally see it come to life in front of my eyes? Yeah, that was something.9-1-1, you’ve been irritating me lately, I won’t lie, but if we get Buck and Eddie and May and Ravi in 2026, I’ll be happy. I genuinely can’t wait to see their relationship grow and flourish outside of this auction date. May and Ravi, I’m rooting for you two so hard!
Rachel: It has to be Benedict and Sophie on Bridgerton again, doesn’t it? Part 2 of their season dropped this week, so we got their happy ending! This was so satisfying. Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha really sold every emotional moment with their chemistry. This even included a bit of subterfuge so that society accepts Sophie, much to her evil stepmother’s dismay, which made it even better. We also got an added wedding scene, which was also one of Shondaland’s very few wise choices that wasn’t in the book (which I will discuss more later). I guess they learned their lesson from Season 2. When it comes to ships, Bridgerton still succeeds. (Mostly.)
Raquel: I totally agree with what Rachel says here! Although I would have loved for the wedding scene to have been part of the episode. And, of course, I have to mention Polin here. We didn’t get much of them in Part 2, but what we did get was glorious. They’ll always be my favorites.
Best Performance of the Week

SHAILENE WOODLEY
Jade: I wasn’t sure what I would think of Annie on Paradise. Not because I have any reason to doubt Shailene Woodley as an actress, but I was already so invested in the established characters, I wasn’t sure I’d care that much about newcomers. Boy, was I wrong. Woodley did such a fantastic job in the season premiere that I actually forgot what show I was watching for a moment. When Xavier showed up at the end, it took me a moment to remember why he was there. (He’s the main character on the show!)
Amanda W.: I knew Bridgerton season 4 episode 7 would be sad, but I did not expect to be crying throughout the whole episode. Hannah Dodd, the actress that you are! She did such a good job at playing a grieving, complex character and really stole the episode for me.
Raquel: I completely agree with Amanda! Hannah Dodd ate, she was perfect! And Yerin Ha as Sophie was fantastic too. She was born to play Sophie. Also, Nicola Coughlan captivated me in that scene in front of the mirror looking at a younger Penelope. I genuinely thought they had used footage from season 1. But I also want to mention the absolute masterclass in acting that was the scene where the Queen gives Lady Danbury permission to leave. Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh didn’t even speak; they conveyed everything with their eyes. And they made us feel every unspoken word.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Jade: I wouldn’t say annoyed, necessarily, but I was definitely screaming at the television when Robinson asked for Jane’s location on the group chat in Paradise. She may not have known just how cold of a killer Jane is, but she had some serious suspicions. Robinson. Girl. That’s the moment you send a private text.
Aracelis: The entire season of The Traitors annoyed me deeply, but this episode really did it for me. I could not even tell you the amount of frustration I felt when Maura didn’t believe Tara or Johnny, I was like, okay, you guys could literally win, but no (granted they didn’t play a great game.) I get that it’s easy to trust people blindly in a game like this, and that was the mistake Maura made with Rob, but it was still so frustrating to watch. And I really wish Tara and Johnny were believed more by the other Faithfuls. At this point, next season the Faithfuls need to take a “Faithful 101” class, please and thank you!
Rachel: OK, I have some peeves from Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2. Shondaland adds material every season that is not in the books, which is usually not successful. Shonda may once have said Penelope is her favorite character but the writers have NEVER written this show that way. This week, they yet again dumped on Penelope. First, they had her write about a gentleman and his mistress, which caused him to end things, so the mistress came to yell at Penelope. I know this was supposed to be some kind of comment on Benedict and Sophie but I have reached the end of my tolerance for the writers extending grace to every character (even Cressida!) except Penelope. They even ended the season by insulting her further. They had someone steal the Lady Whistledown name from her! My days watching this show may be numbered.
Raquel: Again, I fully agree with Rachel here! Replacing Penelope as Lady Whistledown is pure garbage. I have so much to say about this that I’ll write a separate piece, but it’s outrageous! It’s all so bad that they can’t even come up with a credible reason why. One minute it’s because Penelope no longer gets gossip due to her public identity, and the next it’s because of the supposedly excessive power she wields as Whistledown, portraying her as a villain when she never was. And, to top it all off, none of that justifies it. Replacing Penelope with some random person is a slap in the face to all the fans, the actress, the character, and her story.
Quote of the Week

Jade: “Extended family?” – Nameless person in the bunker, answering the question, “What did we have on the surface that we don’t have down here?” It may be dark humor, but I snort laughed.
Aracelis: “Oof. Yeah, that’s gonna be a shiner, but… we can sell that as sexy.” — Buck, 9-1-1.
Amanda W.: “”Avoiding events was one of my and John’s most favorite shared activities.” – Francesca Stirling, Bridgerton.
