What’s the general premise of 9-1-1: Nashville?
Nashville is basically a soap opera about a son (Blue) who reunites with his father (Don). And through the power of nepotism Blue ends up working with his father and his half-brother Ryan. There’s drama between Don and his current wife (Blythe) and his ex (Dixie.) The Station is 113 and there’s even a call center portion to Nashville just like the flagship show of 9-1-1.
Where did we last leave off on 9-1-1: Nashville Episode 11?
Last we left off Don forgave the man who killed his family in a fire when he was a kid. This was all told in tandem with a flashback style episode where we saw young versions of Don, Blythe (his current wife), and Dixie (Don’s ex.)
Who are the main characters of 9-1-1: Nashville?
- Don plays the fire captain of Station 113. He is married to Blythe. They have a son named Ryan. Don has another son named Blue. His mother is Dixie, Don’s ex. And Don often thinks rules apply for thee but not me.
- Blythe is the wife of Don and mother of Ryan. She’s not a firefighter. But she is the wallet because old money. And she’s kind to Blue while also having the best tension with Dixie that makes you wonder…
- Blue is the son of Don and Dixie. He was an exotic dancer and suddenly became a firefighter because nepotism. He’s diabetic, brother to Ryan, and has some romantic sparks with Taylor. Currently plagued with the country bumpkin narrative that doesn’t help his character.
- Ryan is the son to Blythe and Don and brother to Blue. He’s a firefighter at Station 113. Married to Sam. But they’ve almost ended their marriage multiple times. On good terms right now.
- Taylor is a firefighter at Station 113. She’s best friends with Roxie and is a talented singer with big dreams. Currently has romantic sparks with Blue.
- Roxie is the lead paramedic at Station 113 and former trauma surgeon. Best friend is Taylor.
- Cammie is a 9-1-1 dispatcher who was married to Blythe’s brother. He died and Cammie is working through it.
- Dixie is a musician and mother to Blue. Don is her ex. She currently has polyps in her vocal chords. She fixes up a scheme to reunite Blue and Don to get Don to pay for her surgery. Plot twist. It doesn’t work but Blythe agrees to pay because she doesn’t want Blue to suffer the loss of his mother.
What are the main conflicts in Season 1 of 9-1-1: Nashville that you need to know?
- Don is consistently torn between Blythe and Dixie. And it’s not because Don is going to return to Dixie. It’s because Dixie knew Don during his worst moments of his life. And Dixie kept their son Blue away from him.
- Dixie wants Don back. For reasons?
- Blue has romantic sparks with Taylor. They haven’t done much about it besides have a miscommunication before it was cleared up.
