Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 19 ‘Exit Point’ returns to the storyline between Chief Hopkins and Severide, which, at least, means Severide is back, and we’re going to set up what is presumably the cliffhanger of the season. But also, this storyline is so far, so black-and-white that we’re not sure how we feel about it. It would help if the Chief came off as something other than cartoonishly bad right now. Like grudges we get, but this is taking it very far.
And yes, we anticipate this whole thing is going to be a storyline about Firehouse 51 coming together for Severide and all that. A worthwhile plot, for sure. But a little predictable. Is this all the show has in store for us in its last episodes of Season 14? Or should we worry about anything else?
