The 1920’s and the 1970’s are two very confusing spaces in time for the Landry family. Traveling through time, trying to find Elliott’s Mom, and trying to find themselves. It can’t be easy to find ones self when you’re jumping through time, being called out to places that you didn’t know you needed to be, and figuring out the family – all while trying to stay anchored.
But then there is Tessa. Why did she leave? Who did she leave with? What does Fern know? What is Dell hiding? Because as usual Dell knows something and whatever she is hiding feels overwhelming.
Whomever Griffin Landry is – you’ve got some explaining to do.
Lingermores walls have seen everything. They have seen some of the best and the worst for the Landrys, Goodwins, and the Augustines. But to be honest, this season has left me with a bigger question than I wanted to have. I don’t really know what I am thinking or any guesses about this season. I don’t know where it’s taking us and if we’re being honest the more confused I get, the more invested I am.
I just literally need it to not be a dream when this is all said and done.
ELLIOTT
I do not know where to begin with Elliott because I have never really liked him and Kat together. That led to me not liking him and that’s been part of the reason I have some troubles with this show. I want to love it so much.
That being said, I want to know what role Elliott really plays in the pond. Because I feel like there is something that we are missing.
While I don’t understand why it is that his Mom left him by the pond, I know there has to be a reason that we haven’t gotten to. However, I do believe that whatever Del is hiding would help us all to understand what the issue is.
I think that had Tessa left Elliott by the door, she may have been stopped. But I am not sure. I think that it’s one of those things that we’re trying to figure out, but Elliott is a roadblock as much as he is a motivator.
Del thought that Tessa wanted her and Colton to be the parents. But that is also hard to make sense of because – the whole left by the pond thing.
While the show continues to tease us with answers that we don’t have, I wish that at the end of the day they wouldn’t have done this storyline unless we’re getting all of the answers. Because answers are needed.
And if we’re not going to get them, that presents an issue.
At least for me.
I would have preferred to learn more about Colton’s time traveling and what all that has to do with anything. I just feel like answers are missing there and with this being its final season – will we get answers?
1925
Fern Landry is hiding something. You will never be able to convince me otherwise. It doesn’t matter what the year, that woman is hiding something big, and she’s okay with it. Kat has made it back to the 1920’s and though she’s supposed to be looking for Tess, she runs into Fern.
Now, Fern being a Landry, she knows all about time travel. She knows what she’s supposed to ask and what she isn’t.
I wonder if Fern time travels. I am not sure, but I do want to know if she does. She has so many questions about the pond, so I am thinking that she hasn’t. But there is also the confusion of if she has tried. If she has, did the pond just reject her?
Kat going back to the 20s and finding out that Fern had moved off the farm and was living at the paper – that was interesting. I didn’t know that the farm ever had anyone renting it. I felt like it was in Landry hands forever. I thought that no one outside of the Landry family had lived there.
Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that the farm is and will always be owned by the Landry’s. I feel like that has been a struggle, but I also think that knowing that something has been a struggle makes me think that they appreciated it more. That farm means everything to the family.
I just wonder why it is that Fern wanted to run from the land so quickly.
I do believe that Fern knows more about time travel and Tessa than she’s letting on. But I still have to hold on – hoping we’ll get those answers. I just don’t think that we necessarily will get the answers that we hope for.
The season is passing by fast and with that means that as they pose more questions, I believe that few answers will come. Some may, but I am pretty sure a lot will be left open to interpretation.
I am not sure what we’ll find that 1925 has to offer us. Not sure what it has to do with the Augustines, the Goodwins, and the Landrys. But I do know that I am looking forward to finding. out.
1970’s
While I am trying to understand the whole Grayson and Fern relationship – I am wondering what is there also. I think that we keep getting fed morsels but none of it makes sense. I need to know how paths crossed and what that means for a future for the Landrys.
But more than that, I am honestly wondering where Jacob is because he’s basically abandoned his family.
Alice had found Tessa’s suitcase, which has to mean something. What that is – not sure. But chasing it, as they do with any clue on this show, that takes time. I also feel like that definitely has something to do with the tunnels.
I am not the best at figuring out all the clues, but I know that all of the things that happen here mean something. I am kinda starting to believe that Sam is Griffin.
While I believe that Greyson is the person that took Tessa into the pond, I need to know why. Why would she do that? What would make them jump?
We need to know what happened to Griffin too and why Colton dislikes him so much. What did his brother do? Why do we hate this man? There is something that I am missing but here we are.
PROHIBITION
Sometimes I love shows like this because they do remind me of history that I forgot about. Yes, I know that history is important and I should remember but this is where we are. And I had forgotten about prohibition. And then I didn’t know that Canada had it either.
Even though it was a century ago, these things are important.
Fern taking Kat to the party and the cops raiding – it’s kind of very interesting to me, as Lingermore seems to be a place that has been untouchable. Seeing the party, everyone having fun, the silent film – it feels like there are times where Lingermore is happy place.
And then sometimes when it isn’t.
But this party leaves me with so many questions. Why? Because Fern was engaged to Grayson Goodwin. We know that Kat saw Grayson Goodwin talking to the Augie boys. The the house is raided?
Who can we trust.
We don’t know – but there has been no secret that death is coming. It’s just with everything that has happened, we’ve learned to be selective with the questions that we ask because we don’t know who could possibly be next on our list of people to say goodbye to or people that are really untrustworthy.
But my biggest question is where do the Landry and Goodwin bloodlines cross? Because I truly feel that they have to at some point. There is Casey Goodwin, which I have been convinced is Alices daughter, but now I am not sure of how I feel.
My question is – is Ferns child a Goodwin?
When Kat and Fern leave the house and are walking back and they meet the guy in charge of the prohibition raids, could that be the man that Fern has a baby with?
I have so many questions and they just keep getting harder to ask, for fear I will never get the anwer.
