After the loss of JJ, The Pogues, like us, are completely devastated. But, unfortunately, trouble doesn’t wait. So they’ll have to pull themselves together somehow and give it their all to finish what they started…and avenge JJ’s death. Even if that means gritting their teeth and accepting that former enemies like Rafe can become allies.
So, yeah, Outer Banks Season 5 features Chase Stokes as John B., Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, Drew Starkey as Rafe, Austin North as Topper, Fiona Palomo as Sofia, J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff, and Cullen Moss as Shoupe. As for the team behind the scenes, Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke will serve again as creators and executive producers.

The Plot
According to the synopsis, Outer Banks Season 5 “finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco. Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats. With Chandler Groff still at large, Dalia and the Corsairs closing in, and the Kooks ensuring the Pogues have no home to return to, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, and Cleo must rely on their scrappy instincts—and an uneasy alliance with Rafe—to keep from falling apart for good. Their mission is now a desperate race to reclaim their future and finally win the freedom they’ve been chasing since the beginning. It’s the Pogues against the world as they seek to avenge their best friend and bring it on home…one final time.”

It’s official! Outer Banks Season 5 will premiere on August 20 only on Netflix. So we’ll be keeping an eye!
