Every year brings with it a new season of the coziest murder mystery comedy on TV — Only Murders in the Building. This time, the season will premiere a little later than normal, but that just means there is more time to catch up on the previous five seasons. If you’re like me, it also means there is time to rewatch it all in the lead-up of the iconic trio’s latest investigation. Hulu renewed the beloved series for its sixth season in October 2025.
The news came on the same day that Only Murders in the Building Season 5, Episode 10, “The House Always…,” debuted on the streamer. It saw Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), Mabel Ortiz (Selena Gomez), and the residents of the Arconia band together to save their cherished home. It also teed up the next murder mystery. Ahead of Only Murders in the Building Season 6, which will be known as Only Murders in London, we’ve gathered everything you need to know in one place.

What Is Only Murders in London About?
The previous season teased the central mystery. OMITB fans will remember that the fifth season ended with Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) seemingly dying right on the line of the Arconia, so that Charles, Oliver, and Mabel could investigate for their podcast. It comes as Cinda’s latest podcast, “The Girl with the Curls,” reveals that the titular girl was accused of murdering a royal descendant. When Cinda collapses outside of the storied building, she has red curls.
In August 2026, Vulture had the exclusive about Only Murders in the Building transforming into Only Murders in London. Co-creator John Hoffman told the publication, in part, “The U.K. is the home of Agatha Christie. This is where Cinda Canning might have met her maker in some way. And all of them are following along in the tradition of the cozy murder mystery.”

After successfully bringing the guilty to justice once again, Charles, Oliver and Mabel embark on their hardest case yet when the next victim – Cinda Canning – arrives at their doorstep, summoning them to London to catch her killer. Our beloved trio of true crime-solving podcasters must now navigate their way through the home of the cozy murder mystery, replete with a whole new collection of suspicious and particularly English-eccentric characters. But can they follow in the footsteps of the woman whose podcast started it all for them… without having their story end the same as hers?

Who Stars in Only Murders in the Building Season 6?
As expected, Only Murders in London will star Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Any more announcements about returning cast members have yet to be made. Meanwhile, if you’re an OMITB fan, you’ve likely seen the near-constant announcements of guest stars for the upcoming season. Some are Tina Fey, Olivia Colman, Meryl Streep, David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, and Martin Freeman. The Vulture piece reveals that all these cast members will be playing characters – not themselves. Hoffman even revealed that Colman will play a memoirist. Details around the other characters remain under wraps.
