Chicago Fire Season 15, Episode 4 ‘A Perfect Arson’ looks like Stellaride adventure, and we’ll take the detour if it means an episode focused on our favorite couple. They work together every day, of course, but there’s something about getting to see that put to the test outside of the firehouse. And hey, if other stuff comes up, all the better.
Stella and Kelly are good right now. They already got over the little squabble they had at the beginning of the season when they were still trying to adjust to Severide being the boss. We know there’ll be some firehouse-related issues later, especially considering the decision to cut McCaffrey and his threat. But for now, the episode has a great chance to have the two tackle other issues, and even if it’s not the family question the show has been putting off, it can be a good precursor to that.
Having a family requires being a team. Stella and Kelly are good at being part of one, but they’re also really good at being one, just the two of them. Plus, they also have fun and enjoy spending time together. All good reminders as they consider if there’s time and space for a third member of their family.

Photos
We’ll never complain about a Severide and Stella-focused photo dump, but this one is kinda funny because it almost looks like this isn’t a show about firefighters. When was the last time Miranda Rae Mayo and Taylor Kinney got to spend an episode without turnouts?

Synopsis
Between the pictures, the promo, and the synopsis, we’re inclined to believe this will be an episode that stays mostly with Stella and Kelly, as they investigate this particular case. That’s a very different kind of hour for this show, which usually leans heavily on the ensemble, but if someone can pull it off, it’s these two.
Here’s the synopsis:
The FBI recruits Severide when an arson is staged to cover up the kidnapping of a judge’s daughter.
Promo
The promo shows us that you can take Severide out of OFI, but you cannot take the fire cop out of him. And honestly, if he’s going to go fire cop I’ll take him doing so because the FBI requested it and with Stella along for the ride. And hey, if the episode stays mostly with them, it’s an easy way to give other characters a week off so the rotations don’t start to look weird near the end of the season.
