Following the events of FBI Season 9 Episode 4, taking the photos, promo, and synopsis as a starting point, let’s speculate about FBI Season 9 Episode 5 ‘Atonement’!
In this episode, the whole team gets down to business when they have to track down some escaped female prisoners. But, as always, nothing is quite what it seems. That said—if we’re being honest—what we really want to see is what’s going on with OA, and how Maggie will handle knowing he’s not okay, even if she’s not entirely sure how to help him.
We really want the show to dive deep into OA’s feelings regarding everything he had to do while working undercover. And we’re ready to see Maggie right there by his side, every step of the way. Meanwhile, it looks like a major change is coming for Scola and as we bite our lips in anticipation, we can’t help but wonder what it might be…
We’re really excited for this one!

Are there Pictures for ‘Atonement’?
Well, there are a few photos, though as always, they don’t reveal too much. The focus is on a race against time to track down some escaped female prisoners. However, it seems that danger lurks at every turn and that the escape was merely the beginning of something much bigger.
What’s the Synopsis for the Episode?
There is a synopsis for Season 9 Episode 5 ‘Atonement’ that reveals that the search for the female prisoners doesn’t last very long, but the key lies with the one who wasn’t caught. And perhaps the reason they escaped in the first place plays a much more significant role in all of this than anyone gave it credit for. Meanwhile, Scola is preparing for a major change—which, if we’re being honest, has us feeling a bit anxious. Here’s the synopsis:
When a prison transport van is attacked and eight female convicts escape, the team is sent on a hunt for the missing prisoners. When all but one is located, they look to find the motive behind the escape. Meanwhile, Scola grapples with a big life change.

Is There a Promo For the Hour?
Yes but, like the photos, they reveal almost nothing about the episode. At the very least, we get a glimpse of the female prisoners escaping and the race to find them, including what appears to be some sort of bomb? as well as an arrest taking place right in the street, with plenty of civilians nearby and a high risk that anyone could get hurt.
FBI Season 9 airs Mondays at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS.
